1- High power monitoring. The powerful head phone amplifier guaranties enough spare power even in the noisest environments or working with only one headphone. The SMAC Pro 4 offers a lever switch that allows you to select two monitoring modes (1a) : conventional PFL, or SPLIT (left channel=main mix / right channel = open channel PFL)
2- 8 Inputs. 3 phonos, 2 CDs, 2 Line, 1 Balanced XLR Mic. Lever switch selector.
3- Input Gain Control. For all channel, a very wide margin of 30dB (±15dB). The MIC input has an extra -20dB MIC ATT (3b).
4- Tone controls. A fully independant 3-band system with symetrical -15dB +15dB margins that allows you to shape a progressive Boost or Kill of your sound.
5- Sends to external effect units. Each mixable channel of the PRO Series has an EFF fader knob that allows you to control the send of the postfader signal to external effect units (samplers, reverbs ...). The EFF output (5a) provides the mix of all open EFFfader knobs. A direct access to the main mixing bus, MIX (5b), connects the already-processed signal to the mixer.
6- Prefade listening. PFL with lever switch.
7- Sends to crossfader. Channels 2 and 3 are permanently assigned to both A and B extremes of the crossfader and associated CUT/PUNCH buttons. The 3-position Xfader assignation lever Switchers allows routing these channels to either extreme of the crossfader, or to none (center position MIX).
8- Kill Switches. Eliminate the frequency band you select. A shocking "hard kill" effect, clean, independent from the rotary tone controles and without switching noises.
9-10- Cut/Punch. For cutting or punching a sound.
11- The Faders. High quality ALPS, smooth and resistant ... just as progressive as Electro DJ's need.
12- The VCA Crossfaer. Precision, smoothness and mechanical roughnessplus voltage controlled amplifier VCA. The result is a crossfader capable of reaching 300.000 cycles with a perfect response.
13- Headphone connection. Close to the DJ, away from the control panel so that no cable can distirb your performance.
14- Double VU Meter. The left vu-meter (14b) permanently monitors the main MIX. The right Vu-meter (14c) monitors the main OUT when no PFL (6) is at ON position. If one or more PFL's (6) are activated, then the right vu-meter (14c) monitors the PFL bus.
15- Outputs. Two totally independent high powered main program outputs. OUT1, electronically balanced, and with XLR (15a) connectors. OUT2, non-balanced, and with RCA-cinch (15b) connectors. A REC (15c) output.
16- Double Mic input. Easily accessibles: 12''JACK (16b) placed in the front panel, or XLR (16a) placed in control panel.
17- ±18V Internal Power Supply. Oversized and fully shielded power supply for strong musical dynamics.
