This is actually the only song here in Mikseri.net outside my Ultimate Metal Trademark album. This is from the MIND-A-STRAY demo named "Anamorphica" back in 1995 and tells a sad story about a bunch of criminal cowboys who travel the land with their horses, looding and robbing places, raping women and what not. Once one of the cowboys gets a bullet after a screwed up robbery and he will be dead soon. The bunch rides to a distant, safe corner of a desert to spend the final moments with their dear friend with whom they rode together throughout all of their criminal and hunted lives.
The dying cowboy then pours out his final testimonial and thoughts about his life and their life together and in this way leaves them with a legacy of the thought that just maybe it all wasn't worth dying for.. Anyway, he dies in their arms, but luckily - not alone. Should this song be a lesson to everyone to learn to value their, and others, lives. Someday we all will die but let's at least try to leave something positive and worth remembering behind, now shouldn't we?

daredevil 14.05.2011 Biisi on ihan mukava melodinen metalli vetäisy. Soitto ja rakenne tosi tiukka. Paljon tähän on nähty vaivaa. Kaikenmoista hienoa kitarakikkailua, ehkä biisi vähän liian pitkä.. ja sanoisin että laulajan ääni (vaikka hyvin hän laulaakin) ei sovi tähän ihan parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla. |

vnmwrtcbn 22.03.2009 Hieno intro, joka heti kiinnittää huomion. Laulu on kyllä omaperäistä, tällaista ei ole tullut vastaan ennen. Vähän tommonen sentencedmainen ääni ja melodiat tuovat ajoittan mieleen nightwishin ja erityisesti the carpenter biisin. Loppujen lopuksi jotenkin folkin kuuloinen laulu, ei väsytä ollenkaan. Miksaus on huippuluokkaa. Tässä liikutaan sopivasti raskaan ja rennon välillä. Riffit on varsin mukavia, ja varsinkin nuo hitaampien kohtien kitararämpytykset uppoavat. Se mikä tässä on hienoa, että välillä siirrytään perusskaalasta vähän erikoisempien nuottien pariin, ja se sopii todella hyvin kappaleeseen. Puolentoista minuutin kohdalla tulee paras kohta jossa kitara ja laulu vetävät jotakuinkin samaa melodiaa oudossa skaalassa. Myös soolo ja kuuden minuutin jälkeen tulevan (mute?)kitara pimputtelu korkealta ansaitsevat hatun noston. Tämä oli kuitenkin ehkä vähän liian pitkä kappale. Samoja juttuja tuli useaan otteeseen, vaikka niissä saattoi olla jotain erilaisuuksia, en nyt tarkkaan muista. Mutta onnistunut biisi kuitenkin. |
