Winds burn my body
If there’s some sort of a shelter, I don’t know
Thoughts of a lifetime, racing white horses at night
No matter how gone, where there’s a will there’s a way and a rainbow
I found a place now where I can scream, but there’s nobody here

(There you are
And here I am)

Yet the light’s so beautiful when pointing at that hill
And in between the trees a silhouette prevails
But I know, when there’s a blow against this mind of steel,
It might for all I know call shadows from another time

(It starts here
Feel so drawn
Close those eyes
and drift…)

Smoother wheels are burning now
Silver chassis, Highway 1
Remember these from yesterdays?
Coldest thoughts gone oceanways

What sort of dreams do we dream here?
A snowbank stood and grabbed the rear
What does it take to disappear?

(”911. How can I help you?”)
Millstone hearts have turned to stone (”Turned to what…sir?”)
The hardest stone has crushed a bone (”Are you able to move, sir?”)
Blackbelt bones have moved the ground (”Just who is this?”)
Snowflakes stole the millstone hearts (”Sir?...”)

Winds burn my body
But there is always a shelter, I do know
