Hut & Shack: Cold White Water

Cold White Water

Once upon a time I had a life and all my dreams
now only proof of that is my old faded jeans

so I decided it was time for me to go
start all over, expectations very low

I packed my car and started driving towards west
’till I was so tired my ass was screaming for a rest

Cold white water in the middle of nowhere
empty streets, silent houses nobody out there
if you ever see someone don’t stop to say hello
who ever still lives out there just don’t wanna know

I woke up by a river running past a rotten mill
an isolated graveyard all forgotten on a hill

every Sunday church bells are calling us to pray
I will not attend, God isn’t listening anyway

This is a place where people just like me will stay
I know it’s my destiny and I can’t walk away

Cold white water…

There lives a granny that swears more than the devil himself could swear
allthough you can see nobody there’s eyes and ears everywhere

I never intended to stay here for long
by this time I really should have been gone
some kind of gravity making me stay
years have gone by and I’m wasting away

I can not runaway my soul is here to stay
reaper is steadily digging my grave
I thought I had a voice, someone would hear my noise
but it was never a choise.

Cold white water...
