Entitas Mortis: Howlings

Howlings
Entitas Mortis / Samuli Puotila

Alkusoitto
Rust on the leaves, the branches are dying.
Roots worming deep, down to the ground.
Barks peeling off, from the dead standing tree.
Swaying tall trunk, is going to fall.
Nothing seems to help, the old great life.
Time’s passed by, forgetting the grand.
Howling the tale, of life and death.
Wisdom of them, may tell the truth...

Säkeistö 1
Her home is in flames,
seeing death all around.
Hopeless mother crawling through,
burned face without eyes.
Standing there behind her,
soldier with his sword.
Moaning falls deep silent.
Searching next nomad to kill…

PreChorus
There … is one …
To … become …
Escaped … and saved …
For … the future …

Chorus
Small child is lost alone in the dark,
frightening soldiers with flashing blades approaching.
Standing on the roots of thousand years,
holding the trunk and feeling the warmness.

Säkeistö 2
White clothes in mud,
bleeding feet, wounded soul.
Worn out child see the tree,
touching the shape in moonlight.
Memories come back to her mind,
strictness in stories.
Extinct rage could be waked,
leading the beast into the range.

Säkeistö 3
Flash, in the dark sky, burns away
The Peal, througth the air, muting ears
Fire, heat and fry, the ashes grey
Tales, becoming true, rising fear
Roots, against the shield, smashing down
The Tree, swallows the blood, Evil's dead
The Pain, out from the Brute, grows the wood
The Child’s, future will come, living saga !
