Black Friday ei ole suinkaan alennusmyyntien ylistys vaan kertomus kullan pörssiromahduksesta 1800-luvulla. Kappale julkaistiin vuonna 1975 Steely Danin neljännellä albumilla Katy Lied. Kappaleen tekijät ovat (tietysti) bändin perustajahahmot Donald Fagen (main voc & keyb) ja Walter Becker (background voc, bass & guitar).
